All-Star Keystone Band Members!

Keystone High School senior Matt Rister (percussion), junior Blaise Sherlock (horn), and freshman Jack Sherlock (trombone) - pictured left - recently earned the distinction of being selected to participate in the Kent State University All-Star Honors Band Festival, practicing and performing with outstanding musicians from area schools.  Blaise played the horn, Jack played the trombone, and Matt Rister was in the percussion section.

KHS freshman Emma Gregory, a clarinet player, also impresses as she is participating in the Northern Ohio Youth Orchestra and their philharmonic orchestra. Emma has been a member of this year-round group for the past three years, developing an impressive skill set and bringing her knowledge to the KHS band program. She performed in a great concert Sunday afternoon on the campus of Oberlin College.

In addition to our outstanding High School musicians, five Keystone Middle School band students recently performed in the Northern Ohio Youth Orchestra’s concert. Cody Grimmett, horn, Michael Spatafore, trombone, Braden Cuson, trombone, Beau Hurst, saxophone, and Declan Herbert, tuba are members in the Wind Symphony. We are very proud of their hard work and look forward to their next concerts in the coming months!
