Attention all 7th and 8ith grade Volleyball players, there will be the end of the season pizza party in the cafeteria after school today from 2:45 – 3:45.
 
The Cheerleading tryouts for today have been cancelled.

Did you know that socks are the most needed, but least donated, article of clothing in homeless shelters? KMS Student Council is holding a "SOCKTOBER" Dance tomorrow from 2:40 PM to 4:30 PM. Admission to the dance will be a NEW package of socks OR $5.00. Socks and admission money will be donated to The LaGrange Lions Club. We will have a concession stand open with pizza, nachos, popcorn, candy, and beverages, as well as games in the cafeteria. Please bring additional money for concessions. The dance will be open to any current 6th, 7th, or 8th grader at KMS only. Students will not be allowed to leave and re-enter the dance.  Don’t forget to wear crazy socks tomorrow to support the Socktober Dance.  Earn a PRIDE ticket for participating!

Congratulations to the 8th grade volleyball team on adding two wins to their season at the PAC tournament on Saturday.  The girls placed fifth out of 11 teams and end the season with 11 wins overall.  Great job girls!

Any student with holes in their jeans will be asked to change clothes as this is a violation of our dress code.  Jeans must have a patch over the holes.  Putting paper or masking tape over the holes will not be acceptable.

On Saturday the cross country team competed at Black River, the boys won the meet out of over 20 teams! Leading the way was Stephen Faltay and AJ Stroud who placed 1st and 3rd in the meet. Also with good performances were John Wargo and Carter Taylor  The girls placed in the top 7, their best finish of the season, Casey Spatafore led the way for the girls followed by Dom Walls, Delany Peters, Kelsey Kovacs and Elena Runion.  This Saturday they compete at Western Reserve.

Students becoming ill or injured during the school day must report to the office clinic.  Before calling for a ride home the office staff must be sure that the person picking you up is approved on your Student Information Card.  Students are not to use your cell phone to call for a ride unless you are in the office and have permission.

Check out the lost and found in the office for any lost items.  We have lunch boxes, clothes, pencil pouches, and notebooks!  And a reminder to put your name on all your items so that if they show up in lost and found we can return it to you!

Congratulations to the 8th grade volleyball team for a huge win at last nights' game against Fairview.  The Wildcats sent the Warriors home in two sets, increasing their win record to 7 this year.  They believed they could so they did.  Great job ladies!

Last night the cross country team competed at the Avon Invitational; the boys were led by Stephen Faltay who won the race and set a course record at 11:07.
The girls were led by Dominque Walls, Casey Spatafore and Delany Peters all ran one of their best times of the year!
Also with record setting times were Kennedy Jackson, Kevin Seman, Tristan Magel, Ethan Ryan, Carter Taylor, Zach Longacre, Noah Weaver, Caleb Bores and Owen Maiden.
Their next meet is at Black River next weekend.

Congratulations to the KMS volleyball teams on a great start to the season.  Both the 7th and 8th grade teams are having winning seasons.  The 7th grade team is 3-2, with a big win over Wellington last week.  The 8th grade team is 4-1 with a very exciting win over Firelands last night.  Great job girls!  Both teams play at home next week on Monday and Tuesday.

On Saturday the cross country team competed at LCCC, the boys team took 2nd out of 20 teams! They were led by Stephen Faltay who took 1st place out of 300 runners at the meet!
The girls were led by Dominque Walls and Casey Spatafore, they ran their season best times!
Also with strong performances were AJ Stroud, John Wargo, Kelsey Kovacs and Elania Magel.
The team will travel next week to Tiffin.

RULES FOR ATTENDING ATHLETIC HOME GAMES

Students may not return until 4:30 p.m. to KMS per REVISION to the 2017-2018 KMS Student Handbook page 14 RULES FOR ATTENDING HOME GAMES.  The time for which students may return for home games is changed from to 4:30 p.m. During games, students must remain seated in the gym unless on the way to or from the restroom or concession stand.  No one will be allowed to “hangout” in the halls or lobby during the games.  Students will be allowed in the lobby during half time and between games.  At no time will students be allowed
in the hallways down by or past the cafeteria.  Failure to comply with these rules will lead to the student being sent home from the game and possibly not being allowed to attend games in the future.
